I have:

<a href="javascript:function();">

in a template file.
Smarty converts javascript:funtion();

to

http://webserver/"javascript:function();/"

which prevents the javascript function from being called.

How do I avoid this?[/code]

Ok,

I found the answer:
I had escaped the quotes because I was using a print statement before using templates. I forget to remove the slashes. Duh
